This simple Tragus hoop earring features a beautiful natural 18 faceted Quartz Crystal on 14k Gold fill, Solid Silver, or 14k Rose Gold fill. We offer them in 8mm diameter but message me if you prefer a different size.

The crystals are completely raw and natural, uncut and unpolished. They grow in these beautiful 18 faceted shapes that you see. We offer stones that come from Herkimer County, NY (known as Herkimer Diamonds) and stones that come from Pakistan (known as Pakimer Diamonds). The stones from either location are the same in appearance so it's really all about the origin if you care about that.

-About the stone-

Double terminated 18 faceted quartz crystals were found in Herkimer NY in the 18th century and because of their clean natural facets and high clarity they were given the name "Herkimer Diamonds". Now similar beautiful 18 faceted crystals have been found in many places around the world (we believe our stones come from Pakistan). Technically only the stones found in a certain regain of NY can properly bear the name "Herkimer Diamond" (just like the use of the word "Champagne" is reserved in many countries only for sparkling wine from the Champagne region of France).

Please note the stones are all unique, one of a kind, and natural. What you receive will not be the exact stones you see.
Some might be a little cloudy, have flecks of black in them, or be a different shape, but we do our best to find two stones that match nicely

- About the metal -

Gold filled:
What is "Gold Filled"? Well it is a way to get the benefits of gold without the huge cost. Think of it as a heavy 14K Gold plating (5% of the metal by weight). This protects your jewelry from tarnishing, and allows your ears to just contact 14K Gold.

Silver:
We use solid 940 Argentium Silver for these earrings (94% solid silver). It is more tarnish resistant and less likely to react to your ears than traditional sterling, and all the silver in it is recycled (which is pretty awesome!).
