This richly colored Caribbean blue firecracker pot would be a great gift for someone who is expecting a baby, or just for someone who appreciates lovely shape and color. The softly rounded shape is reminiscent of primitive fertility goddesses, and is appealing to the eye.

What is a firecracker pot? These unique small pots are formed from a single lump of clay. Artist Kate Bertin inserts and lights a firecracker (yes, the kind that make so much noise on Independence Day), and physics does the rest. Every firecracker pot is absolutely unique and will never be duplicated.

This particular pot was a rectangular slab before exploding in both directions, creating an appealing round shape. The pot would look great with dried flowers, a unique toothbrush holder, or just as a decoration on your favorite shelf.
