This game came out in 1959, right when the space program in the U.S. was getting going. Called "Orbit," it was produced by Parker Brothers Inc. of Salem Massachusetts.

As stated on the rules for playing locating on the inside of the box's lid, the object of Orbit is to be the first player to move each one of his/hers space ships from Earth to a different planet. This game is for 2, 3, or 4 players and includes a game board, two spinners, and tiny wooden discs in four different colors representing space ships.

The game's box, measuring 7.75 by 16 inches, has retained its cardboard insert and is in good condition with wear, age spots, a few bends, and some rippling. The game board, showing all of the planets in our solar system, measures 14.5 inches square. It is in good condition with slight bowing. The two spinners have light brown age spots and there are two wooden discs missing.
