: : The Pirate Captain : :

Once every blue moon, Captain Henrietta Whelan anchors her ship along the dark and sequestered shores of Lullaby Cove and swiftly begins making her presence known to those she wishes to impress ... and now and then, blackjack.

Make no mistake. She may be quite the intriguing swashbuckler - with her long, dark mane and golden skin, lackluster from the sun and spray of the sea, her often sumptuous garb and endless cache of plundered, worldly goods, not to mention her masterful penchant for the English language - but, she'd still cut out your tongue if she thought for a second it was made of gold. A scallywag to the end.
Albeit, Henrietta may be ruthless in her exploits, to her defense, she is a fair & honorable captain and by and large, a woman who holds great respect for those who are true to themselves, whatever may be.

The Captain's first tarry after making port is, almost always, at The Drunken Druid. Where else would one go after months upon the high seas, pilfering whenever and wherever the opportunity presented itself, escaping violent death and decimating disease at every turn, all whilst keeping order aboard a ship with only a rowdy crew for company?
Seeing as how she has grown a bit accustomed to rogue jests and devilish cavorting, she finds the Druid's unruly patrons to be a rather agreeable lot of landlubbers. If one needed to find landlubbers agreeable, that is.

Nevertheless, Henrietta will gladly join in the festivities. Singing loudly and out of tune, drinking like a fish, gambling when the stakes are high and when necessary, throwing a fist or two. (She may be a pirate captain, gents, but never disrespect a lady.)

Amid a jumble of vintage brass and steel chain bits rest a small glimpse of the Captain's collected treasures. These are some of her most prized possessions that she keeps with her at all times.
A clay amulet in the likeness of her mysterious ship, The Red Lady, a chunk of golden Baltic amber, a carved skull bead - blessed by a voodoo queen down in Louisiana, ceremonial glass & ceramic beads from an ancient island tribe, her Irish cob aka piece of eight, the key to her private quarters and last but certainly not least, a ring taken from the hand of a nobleman residing along the shores of the Spanish Main (the details on the condition of said hand when the bauble was in fact removed, remains unclear.)

The necklace measures 26-1/2" long including it's lobster claw clasp. The centerpiece collection measures approx. 5" at it's longest point.
The piece of eight measures 1-5/16" wide, the key 2" long and the amber chunk, 1-3/8" long x 7/8" wide.

Enjoy.
