Ahhh, back in the day when walking around with a pocket full of heroin wouldn't get you sent to the pokey...

This listing is for a very rare, hand-written, authentic medical prescription for Heroin Hydrochloride. This antique prescription has been mounted on a red crushed velvet background and framed in a gold tone antique style frame. The frame's outer dimensions are 11 inches wide and 9 inches tall, and it is a self-standing frame for display on a shelf or table, etc.

This original antique prescription reads:
Heroin Hydrochloride
Sig (Directions): One and repeat in 3 or 4 hours if required for pain
Number: 40 (tablets)

The date this prescription was written is 9/28/1923 by Dr. James L. McAleney from Portland, Maine.

There are some original markings on the prescription that were written by the pharmacist who filled this prescription, which include a prescription number, the date and initials, written with what looks to be a black fountain pen.

Perfect gift for a pharmacist, doctor or someone who collects rare medical items!
