This cute house recipe box was made by Hallmark, probably in the 1980s. It is 3-5/8 inches tall, 5-1/8 inches across, and almost 3 inches deep (measured across the side). The hinged lid works fine, the inside is very clean and free of rust, but there is significant rust on the bottom, only visible when turned upside down. It was made by Hallmark Cards, Inc. of Kansas City, Missouri, and made in the USA. This could be used for storing small office supplies, kitchen items, and craft items, besides its' intended use of storing recipe cards. (No recipe cards are included.)
When laying on its' side, the hinged lid comes open slightly, as seen in the 4th small picture. When sitting upright, the lid stays closed. There isn't a date on this box, but I used to have one of these in the 1980s, and I think they stopped making recipe boxes from metal during that decade.
