Made by Fenton Art Glass between 1954 and 1970, this lovely quarter-pound hobnail butter dish #3977 is unmarked (on Fenton milk glass, the logo appeared after 1970). Measures 7" long and 2-1/2" high, with crisp hobnails and perfect scallops.

While in overall good condition; please note in photo two that there are swirly manufactured straw marks on the base; also, in photo three, you can see a tiny oval chip at the center of the top scallops, and a tiny vertical line at the bottom right of the bottom scallops. The new price reflects these.

Another delightful dining/serving piece is shown in the last photo and coming soon. There's something so delightful about white milk glass. Though the form is traditional, the look is crisp and fresh. Enjoy and use the classic covered butter dish every day.
