While I was working with this old cookie tin, I thought of Johannes Vermeer, the Dutch painter. Did he ever visit this rural village on the water? Very sweet vintage cookie tin provided a scenic palette for me to tin-snip to my hearts desire.

Delft in design, the 7/8" by 7/16" pieces were a part of that Netherlands scene. I chose two old houses, the same but different. Matching but not matching. The belong together.

Each piece is cut, sanded to dull any sharp edges, both were slightly abused . . . in a good way . . . then a twisted sterling silver round ear wire was added to increase their uniqueness. The vintage tin from which they were born had tons of character, and you may see more Delft on its way to awisewoman's shop!

Please remember both vintage tin and earrings are one-of-a-kind and the carrying-on I do with my secret powers only adds to their fun factor.
