Once upon a time, the Aladdin Company (Bay City, Michigan) was a popular manufacturer of mail-order kit homes. Sears Roebuck, Sterling, and Montgomery Ward, to name a few, also sold kit homes. Over Aladdin Homes' long history it sold more than 75,000 homes.
These door knockers were Christmas gifts to Aladdin Homes' customers in 1926. They are now very hard to find and highly sought after.
The genie holds a lamp. Lift his arms to reveal the company's name across his sash. Drop his arms to 'knock'.
Condition is good and solid, with age-appropirate wear, no corrosion. Brass. Measures 5 13/16 high x 2 1/16" wide.
