Here is another offering I have made in anticipation of the upcoming American Girl doll Caroline of 1812, or any of your dolls you wish to dress in a Regency period fashion. I have chosen a premium reproduction cotton, printed with tossed chocolate colored flowers on a cream background. The lined bodice's neckline is edged with a brown piping. The sleeve puffs have cotton lace in a cafe au lait color atop the brown cuffs.

The hemline of the skirt is rimmed with an ornate velvet trim, hand applied. The skirt is fully lined. The chocolate colored sash is made of a silk-like rayon ribbon, very drape-able. The lined bodice closes with two small brown buttons, and handworked button loops.

I have made the dress short enough for your doll's pantalettes to show. My doll's pantalettes are riding on her hips, rather than her waist, to make them ankle length, as was the custom for girls in the early 1800s. Interior seams are serged. My name label is sewn inside.

Also included is a narrow pure silk ribbon in cream to tie onto your doll's neck for a simple choker.

An additional view - a close-up of the back bodice - can be seen on my flickr page:

This will ship first class in a box, U.S. orders with delivery confirmation. For sale is the gown and neckline silk ribbon. My doll and any other accessories stay with me!
