This earthenware bowl is wheel thrown, stamped with a textile print block of a cross from Afghanistan (four times around the rim), and then glazed with an aged copper color which pooled beautifully in the bottom of the bowl. The red clay showing through gives it an antique appearance and it is quietly beautiful. It's a graceful shape and satisfying to hold.

This bowl could easily fit into a southwestern decor. Put it on the counter with peppers in it or fill with those delicious spicy cashews from Trader Joe's.

It measures 4 1/2" across the rim, is 2 1/2" tall and 2" deep. The glaze is food and dishwasher safe but hand washing is better, I think.
