Thank you to Judy Carlson, a gifted instructor, for the technical advice that gave way to my newest creations.

Inspired by my beautifully carved African masks, this lampwork bead is made with a highly saturated silver glass by Double Helix. The lovely iridescence has hues of green, gold, purple and blue. The hole runs vertically. The back is flat with a spiral design.

It is about 2 inches tall and approx. 1 inch wide. (Fifth picture shows the size.) Made on a 3/32 mandrel, I include a piece of tiny hollow tubing that fits perfectly inside the hole. This prevents any wobble when mounted on a headpin.
