Vintage millinery supply: lot of handmade blue and silver French coil flowers, balls, and leaves with tiny blue glass beads. The largest flower is about 2" (5.5 cm) round), the others are smaller.

I got this delightful little decoration at an estate sale of a woman who had a collection of all things having to do with sewing. She made a large group of decorations from different types French coil, and put them on hairpins. I guess she wore them in her hair for special occasions. You can use them however you please...

French coil is very thin wire and is sometimes called bullion, and was used on hats and things in the 1950s and earlier for decoration. It has had a "comeback" today and is used in jewelry making.
