Steampunk Jewelry: The art of the Blacksmiths has always fascinated me, from the wrought iron fence gates to swords the iron smiths made all kinds of utilities back in the colonial days and even up to present day. One such local hero of mine in Charleston, SC , USA is Philip Simmons, http://www.philipsimmons.us/documentation.html, a man with incredible talent whose rose from poverty to fame through his iron works. A quote of his accomplishments, ""Philip Simmons is a poet of ironwork. His ability to endow raw iron with pure lyricism is known and admired throughout, not only in South Carolina, but as evidenced by his many honors and awards, he is recognized in all of America."
This skeleton key was made as a dedication piece of Simmons and the great Iron workers across the US and Canada and should be worn with these great artists in mind! The black chain necklace is 17"-19inches in length. The key is 3 1/4" long and is adorned by a high quality, antique brass watch movement.
