Charming vintage folk art wall plaque, circa 1930s. Constructed of 1/4" nicely grained plywood and painted by hand with what looks like milk paint or early enamel paint similar to that used on antique farmhouse furniture. Delightfully rendered peasant woman; the linework/painting reminds me of the Little Orphan Annie cartoons from this era, and has a definite deco influence. Three metal hooks at the bottom will hold your keys, oven mitts, etc.

There is no hanging apparatus on the back, so you'll need to attach your own, or else (easily) hang with two nails at the top overhang. Piece measures 8 1/2" tall and 6" wide. It is in decent condition for its age, but definitely has a primitive/antique look to it, with some crackling to the paint (not chipping or flaking, though), a small chip to the wooden corner on the top left, and general surface wear throughout.
