1954, second edition, with 473 pages and over 280 graphics and charts throughout. This hardcover book has a lot of fascinating material and would make a sweet coffee table book or a MUST read for a young driver.

Did you know that in SOME cities, 100% of traffic fatalities were pedestrians? They accounted for 75% of the fatalities in MANY cities, and 66% in the AVERAGE city. You just can't argue with statistics.

You can also read about the crazy devices used to test drivers. One of them shot .22 cal chalk bullets, from the car, WHILE you were driving, to test your reaction time.

The book was published by the American Automobile Association (AAA) in Washington, D.C. The cover is in great condition with slight edge wear. A prior owners name and info is written in pencil on the last blank page of the book but the rest of the pages are clean.

Size: 8-1/4" x 5-3/4"
