This is a fat quarter yard of marbleized wool dyed by Karen Kahle, the creator of The Marbleized Wool Book and the technique of marbleizing wool.

Lavender is a medium value wool with muted colorations, reminding me of lavender flowers. The colors are a mixture of muted lavender and lavender blues. The third photo shows the lavender family colors from top to bottom: Hidcote, Spanish Lavender, Purple Haze, and Lavender. These colors are also available as other listings in this shop.

The magic of marbleized colors is that they hook up to look as if you have mixed many colors into your design. Perfect for rug hooking, quilting, embellishing or sewing, this 100% wool is felted and ready for your project.

The colors I create are the colors that I love to hook into my rugs. They all have a vintage, time-worn appearance. Every piece is unique and each dye batch is different. If you order more than one, there will be variance from piece to piece. You can be sure that they all will look wonderful together in your creation.

I photograph the wool in natural light, and color correct every photo. Remember that every monitor is different, so please take into account my description to help you understand the true color.

Every order is packaged with care via priority mail, so that you will feel like it is your special day when your package arrives.
