Marge flipped up the seat on her gold sewing chair and pulled out a spool of periwinkle blue from the hidden compartment. She had been feverishly working to complete a jacket before the arrival of the much ballyhooed cold front of which the Phoenix TV weathermen had been droning on and on about for the last week. She completed the last stitch just as the wind could be heard howling against the side of the house.

"Zackie" She called out in a loud voice, "Your jacket is done."

Zack tiptoed into the room and and sat down in the chair next to her. She pulled the handsome blue jacket over his shoulder and secured the buttons across his chest.

"Perfect fit." She said with a smug tone as Zack began to squirm in his chair. "They're saying it might get down to 45 degrees and you don't want get cold when you go on your walk."

The curly haired Zack perked his ears up at the word "walk", quickly forgetting the embarrassment of the little blue coat he was being forced to wear. After all, there might be a doggy biscuit in the cards as well.

Here's an absolutely beautiful sewing chair designed in the Mid-Century Modern style with its original shimmering gold vinyl with damask floral pattern. The chair has a dark finished wood back and legs and features a flip-up seat with nine spindles inside for holding spools. The back of the chair is 28.5" tall X 16" wide X 18" deep with a 18.5" seat rise. The chair seat pad is 16" X 14". We are dating this piece to the late 1950s to early '60s. With the cool Eames era styling, this chair would make a fine addition to mid-century modern decor--the under-seat storage is a bonus!

This chair is in very good vintage condition and is very sturdy. The original vinyl upholstery is very good shape with some light wear on the seat but no stains, rips or tears and is tightly stitched. The chair pad too is in good shape with lots of life left in it. We found some small scratches/nicks on the legs but no major issues. The inside of the seat lid has a spot that has spot where the masonite simulated wood finish has rubbed off--looks from tape adhesive.

This is a heavy, bulky item that will ship via USPS Parcel Post or FedEx Ground. Please provide a physical address (if different than your mailing address) in case we do ship if by FedEx. Also note to keep shipping costs down, the chair will ship with the legs removed so you will need to screw them back in when you receive. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM.
