Vintage 1958-1959 model of the Fisher Price 617 Whistling Engine train. Square wooden cab on the back and a round fiber boiler on the front. The cab has white paper lithographs on the sides and edges with a blue window on the sides and red wooden roof on top. The boiler has a round metal plate on the front, a black wooden smoke stack on top, and paper lithographs wrapped around the sides with black, white, red, and blue zig-zag lines. The engine rolls on 4 yellow wooden wheels, although this particular engine has a hard time rolling very far! The back two wheels have black rubber on the edges for traction and off-centered metal piston rods attached. The piston rods are attached to the front wheels. Vintage condition with appropriate wear for age; clearly enjoyed by some little ones over the years.

Measures 7-1/2" long, 4-1/4" high, and 4" wide.
