Through the centuries the Edelweiss flower has enjoyed great popularity in all of Europe's Alpine regions with the result that already in 1878 it was threatened by extinction. In an International Conference Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Italy agreed to protect the flower. Until then it was a custom amongst young men to pick the flowers as a token of love for their sweetheart. Edelweiss was also used in teas and herb infusions for a variety of illnesses from bronchitis and vascular problems to tuberculosis and diphtheria.

For sale is a mini bundle of 8 dried Edelweiss flowers. Full length stems from 4 to 6 inches. Blossoms 1 to 1 3/4 inches across.

If you can find Edelweiss at all, they never include the stems and are usually pressed flat. These are very rare and delightful. I grow these in my garden in Alaska and hang them upside down to air dry.

Shipping $6.10 for priority mail, includes shipping confirmation. Up to 5 bundles for $7.05. International shipping will be more, mail me for a quote or if you need more pictures. These are beautiful, sturdy dried flowers. :)
