Up for your consideration is this lovely Edwardian Rhinestone Brooch Pin Purple Glass & White Enamel Flowers Gold Metal. This is a real beauty from the Victorian or Edwardian period. I am leaning Edwardian due to the style. Its quite large measuring approx. 2 1/2" X 2". In the center is a huge rectangular purple glass stone along with princess cut purple rhinestones all around the edges. All prong set and open backed. In addition, there are little white painted enamel flowers between each rhinestone. Creates a gorgeous frame and look. Fancy OLD piece high end although its unsigned a beauty none the less. No major issues the metal has a rich patina but no verdigris or oxidation just slightly off color not quite as bright as when new but its very age appropriate considering its over 100 years old. very good condition dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s.
