This vintage 1930s necklace features dangling faux baroque pearls, smoky topaz tear-drop crystal beads, and filigree beadcaps in a gilt brass setting. It has a spring ring clasp without the "thumb-thing" that works well. This type of clasp was used in early Frank Hess for Miriam Haskell pieces. The necklace is not marked; however, it is reminiscent of early Miriam Haskell and Czech jewelry in material and design. It measures approximately 15 1/2" in length, of which 4 1/2" consists of the beaded fringe, and the drops are 1 1/2" in length. The smoky crystal beads are 10mm by 5mm, the faux pearls are on average 15mm by 10mm, and the beadcaps are 10mm.

There is a silver tone split ring opposite end of the clasp that does not appear to be original to this piece. The gold tone headpins, wire and split rings also do not appear to be original to this piece, as they are brighter than the brass chain. There is minor flaking of the faux pearls which are seen under magnification. There is minor wear/tarnish of the brass. This piece is in great condition and is a wonderful treasure to add to any collection.
