Wow! This is a beautiful, antique stoneware crock with an original cobalt blue floral design. The size is not marked as far as gallons ( my guess would be close to 1 1/2- 2 gallons) but it measures 8 1/4" high x 9 1/8" diameter across outside rim to outside rim x 7 1/2" inside diameter. It is 10' across from handle to handle.

It dates from the late 1800's to early 1900's. There are two chips along the rim and a hairline crack in the front as can be seen in the photos. It is very heavy, almost 10 pounds. It has a wonderful patina on its textured glaze. The floral design is one of the most very delicate and fluid that I have seen. It would be a great addition to any collection.

It is from a large farm in upstate New York State. In mint condition, it would sell for well over $500.

It will be shipped via the USPS and insured.
