This vintage green bucket is very chippy and somewhat rusty, which is what gives it all its character. It is metal and very heavy, weighing over 5 lbs. The lid has a handle and is also hinged. As you can see in the photos, the inside of the lid is rimmed, and there is a bend in the metal. The lid still fits securely on the bucket, and the lid only opens 1/2 of the bucket. There is a handle near the bottom, which I think is for your hand to make it easier to grip the bucket when using it.

The top is imprinted with the Pennsylvania Rail Road mark although it is faint. I believe it was called a coal ash bucket.
