Vintage enamel bowls, a set of 4 large bowls, in two sizes. Enamelware, made in China, with royal blue rims and stenciled, airbrushed floral motifs, different on each. Circa 1960s approximately.

Three of the four bowls are larger and the same size and all have a pale pink, gradient lip with a royal blue enamel rim. They each measure 8.75" or 22.2 cm in diameter and 1 3/8" or 3.5 cm . Each bowl has a beveled, 1" or 2.5 cm wide, lip. There are three separate motifs on these larger bowls.

One has a coral colored rose in the bottom center, with black leaves, tiny yellow bell-shaped flowers and a lavender "swoosh".

The second has a pink and lavender daisy or chrysanthemum and a spring of blue and black fern.

The third is the most detailed and has a coral colored orchid-like flower with green stem and leaves and tiny purple daisies. There is a border of circles and triangle surrounding the flower motif.

The smaller bowl has cornflower blue background and lip and the same royal blue rim. The central motif is a corla and red rose with green leaves and a spray of pink flowers besides. This bowls measures 7 7/8" or 20 cm in diameter and is just slightly shallower than the others.

All of the larger bowls are marked on the bottom with a stamp of a swallow design and the name of the marked "Swallow Brand, Made in China" and Chinese characters. Two have he number "W-208" and 22 cm (for the diameter). The third of the larger is marked "W-204"

The smaller bowl is marked "Goldfish Brand, Made in China" with a outline drawing goldfish. The item number is "974-04" and it is marked "20 cm".

Good vintage with a few chips here and there in the enamel. One of the larger bowls has two chips on the rim some slight scratches on the painted flowers. The smaller bowl hasa chip on the flat bottom and on the bevelled area, as well as some minor surface scratching though out. The other two have minor scratched ont he surface, as well, and some blemished in the enamel and paint, made in production. See photos above for examples of the chips and wear. Typical wear on enamel this age.
