Brave Men was written by Ernie Pyle (1900-1945) a reporter who lived with various units of our armed forces as they landed in Sicily, fought through Italy, prepared the D-day operations in England and made it into France. A year later Pyle was killed by a sniper as he reported the war in the Pacific.

If you ever wondered how the GIs during World War II lived and fought, this is as near as you will get to an answer. It is a memorable book and one that every American should read--and not forget!

This copy is a first edition and has been well read but with care. I include a couple of small pages which someone has inserted in this copy telling more particular events in Pyle's assignments during the war. There is shelf wear, but the binding is firm and there are no markings.

I ship internationally. Please inquire.
