This 1895 Wood Engraving "Mount Tamalpais and Red Porch" by Swain Gifford was published in 1895 in the book "Picturesque America".

Mount Tamalpais is the highest peak in the Marin Hills, which are part of the Northern California Coast Ranges. It has been a very popular subject in California landscape painting.

Size of the image: .9" by 6.2"
Size of the plate: approx. 12" by 9"

Perfect to frame and hang on the wall.

In excellent condition. Paper has a light cream color due to age and it is spotless. The back is printed but it doesn´t show through.

This is a 1895 ORIGINAL, not a reproduction.
