A large chromolithograph of beetles from a volume of Brehm's "Life of Animals". Published in Barcelona, Spain in 1883.

Size of the plate: 12.5" by 8.8"
Size of the image: 9.3" by 6.7"

A perfect gift for someone interested in entomology or natural history as it was part of a reference book, first published in the 1860s, which made its author, Alfred Edmund Brehm (1829–1884), known around the world.

In excellent condition. Colors are bright and paper is heavy weight. Please note that there is a spot on the right margin that will be easily covered when framed.

This is an original chromolithograph from the 1883 book, not a reproduction.
