This is a vintage wooden cigar box that once held 50 Petit Corona cigars. It has the duty stamp still on it along with a pretty stern warning on the back NOT to refill it with cigars or reuse the stamp! It has very nice color and style. The back is marked "Factory No. 670 Dist. Mich 50".

The box measures 8 3/8" x 6" x 2 1/2"

It is filled with pre-1950's red, white and blue plastic poker chips.

(A little background note.....)

These particular chips in this particular cigar box were used in poker games played by the boat workers of the Upper Pennisula of Michigan that ferried cars across the Straits of Mackinaw before the Mighty Mackinaw Bridge was built. Poker was a popular pass time among the workers waiting for cars to load. As traffic lined up during summer season, people often had to wait 7-9 hours for their turn for their vehicles to be ferried across....ok, enough of that!

They are both in good vintage condition with some normal wear and tear.
