Designed by British designer, Zara Arshad, exclusively for Paper Tiger Shanghai, Happiness 2 features one of the most recognized Chinese characters,'xi,' which means ‘joy’. The two characters written together means 'double happiness' and it’s usage dates back to the Song Dynasty (920-1279). The 'double happiness' characters symbolize a happy marriage, harmony, fertility or two joyous events occurring at the same time. The characters are geometrically against a traditional Chinese-style lattice pattern in red and yellow. The usage of the colors red and yellow on the paper are also symbols of luck and wealth.

All of our paper is created with a reversible pattern or color so there are two sides to choose from. Printed on heavier 100% recycled paper with soy-based ink and sized generously at 23.6" x 34.2" a sheet.

Each purchase is for one 23.6" x 34.2" sheet only.
