A striking black-winged red-orange bird, the Scarlet Tanager is a common species of the eastern North American forest interior. Despite its brilliant coloring it is often overlooked because of its secretive behavior and its preference for the forest canopy.

My Scarlet Tanager is needle felted, a time consuming process in which wool roving is repeatedly poked by a barbed needle until the desired shape is formed. Great care has been taken to accurately depict the tanangers markings, coloring and size. He stands on sturdy wire feet and is life size at 6.5 inches in length.

Your bird will be custom made once you place your order and payment is received***. I usually ship withn 7-10 days, but please allow up to 3 weeks especially during busy hoidays or with multiple orders. See my shop announcement for holiday shipping estimates.

Please remember that these birds are not meant to be handled by small children.

***I have a limited amount of birds in my inventory ready to ship out within 2 days. Please refer to my announcement on the first page of my shop for an updated listing of what is available.
