Is there any fabric more delightful than rayon jersey? This vintage WWII era dress is printed with the almost electrically bright colors typically to rayon jersey - hot pink, green, and deep maroon. The paisley floral is busy and fun. The shoulder have a unique treatment that gatheres the surplice neckline. The sleeves are puffed, with tiny pads to keep their shape. The swingy skirt is shaped with five darts. The dress closes on the side with snaps. It's that borderline 1939/1940 style - the look of the war years. I just love it!

Rayon jersey is a fabric known for acquire small issues over time. I patched a hole in a green leaf on the left of the bodice, and two smaller holes in a maroon flower edge, just below the waistline. There is a yellow spot above the waistline, and three associated pinholes. There are two small holes near the hem, and one at the back of the skirt. We have reinforced a number of seam to ensure that it will wear sturdy. It has been freshly drycleaned and pressed.
