Is there any fabric more delightful than rayon jersey? This vintage late 1930s dress is printed with softer colors than tend to be typical of the textile. Blossoms fall down along the dress, to the huge, lush garden border print. The collar and sleeves are trimmed with self-fabric ruffles. There are little shaper shoulder pads to get that perfect war-era silhouette. The bust is gathered into the mid-waist, which curves along the waist and drop a couple inches below. The skirt is swingy, made free with tidy knife pleats. The dress closes on the wide with a hidden button placket.

Bust: 33"-36"
Waist: 26"-28"
Hips: 48"
Length: 43"

Condition: Fair, very wearable as-is
Rayon jersey is a fabric known for acquire small issues over time. There is some yellow dye transfer/bleed from the yellows in the print throughout. There are two groups of three pin-head holes at the upper back. There is a vertical snag-hole at the edge of one pleat, and I found three pin-head holes lower in the skirt, as well as a slightly larger hole in a green leaf of the border print. The skirt has a lot of drape, and the flaws are hidden. Those familiar with rayon jersey know exactly what I'm describing! We have reinforced a number of seam to ensure that it will wear sturdy. It has been freshly drycleaned and pressed. Priced according to condition.
