This beautiful little beaded necklace shows the influence of Native American beadwork, interpreted flapper style almost a hundred years ago. It's made of off-white seed beads (microbeads) and green leaves. At one time, the pattern seems to have included pink flowers--probably roses--but the coloring in those beads has mellowed to a subtle shading rather than a pattern. It ends in three bobbles covered in more seed beads.

I like the loose strings in between woven blocks. There are a couple of silvery strands in one side--perhaps they had a special meaning to the maker?

Condition is good--would be very good if I didn't suspect the roses had once been there. This pretty girl hangs 18" from the back square to the end of the bobble.

Be sure to look at other bead sautoirs I'm listing today! Harlow nightgown is available under Lingerie.
