Back in the day, every girl had at least one of these ... She probably crocheted or wove it herself, or a sweet friend or relative did. She could wear it loose, so she could twirl the ends in her hands as she did the Charleston; or she might knot it or even wear it as a belt.

This specimen is in great condition, made of pretty seed beads in a rich shade of iridescent bronze. It's a good 60" long, including the tassels. The bead weaving gives a beautiful lacy effect, and the necklace shines whatever you do.

The tassels end in classic flapper loops. And they begin with large round bobbles also covered in beads. Great detailing!

I'm listing a couple other sautoirs today--have a look! And the peach Harlow gown is also available.
