This knitting bowl was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using a white stoneware clay. I then hand etched and carved out the spiral curve. It was bisque fired, glazed and then fired to cone 6 in my electric kiln.

The pretty light shino glaze compliments the simple hand cut spiral.

While I don't knit or crochet, several family members and friends do and have used these bowls with genuine appreciation. The ball of yarn stays put and they no longer need to chase the falling yarn ball.

Size is approximately: 8" across the top and 3" high.
