From 1955, this copy of The Esquire Cookbook is chock-full of fabulous MCM illustrations by the brilliant illustrator Charmatz.

In addition to the full-page illustrations, most of the pages are covered in recipes, of course, but they are also busy with small Charmatz cartoony illustrations - all charming and funny and entertaining in their own right.

The illustrator clearly loved this job (as opposed to the boring work done by Andy Warhol on Amy Vanderbilt's cookbook...)

Fantastic, crisp, clean condition. Excellent graphics on the cover with tons of food related sketches.

322 pages including index.

Strongly bound and super clean. Sure to become a favorite cookbook!
