Art Deco glass powder dish. These usually came with a decorative metal lid that would fit over the sides. Many I have seen for sale have replacement lids on them, so perhaps it is not so difficult to find one that would be the right size.

WHEN I ORIGINALLY LISTED IT, I HAD NO LID but now I have come across one that provides a cover for the top but is not original to this piece. Structurally works and fits over the dish but there is some small stain on the top as shown I think it is metal and celluloid and it does fit well.

The glass has embossed decorative tulips on 4 locations around the sides and beneath each one of the tulips is a glass foot. There is a glass lip around the top where the metal lid fit over.

The bottom is pebbled on the exterior only and smooth inside. No chips or cracks and very pretty. Good for multiple purposes as such as soap on a bathroom or jewelry you wear often or even a candy or nut dish. It is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches tall.

These were frequently part of a dresser set.

Thanks for stopping by to look.
