Beautiful Meissen Rose pink tea cup and saucer with scalloped pattern and gilded edges.
Each piece is stamped with a slightly different mark.
According to Kovel's New Dictionary of Marks, The tea cup mark dates it to between 1924-1934.
The saucer (which does not have an indentation for the cup, but is more like a shallow dish or saucer) has a different mark.
I have shown a picture of the mark, but am uncertain of the age as I could not find an exact mark in Kovel's.
Tea cup measures 2.5" tall.
Saucer measures 5.5" across and stands 1 1/4" high.
The saucer has a TINY flea bite off the top edge of one of the scalloped points (This is barely noticeable to the naked eye, but mentioned for accuracy). My last photo shows this but makes it look MUCH WORSE than it actually is. Please remember that I used the macro lens and it is greatly enlarged.
No chips, crazing, or cracks.
Gilding is still strong, with just a tiny bit of wear.
