Four years ago, as we enjoyed our first experience of a spare, snow covered New England landscape, I spent a good many hours reading with my two young grandsons. Among our favorite books were the Beatrix Potter stories about Peter Rabbit. We all laughed at Peter’s mischievous antics, and as I lingered over Potter’s beautiful illustrations of Mr. MacGregor’s lush vegetable garden, I was inspired to create this beaded version of Peter's favorite hangout!

This cuff bracelet design features two layers of right angle weave, lavishly embellished with crystal, glass pearl and 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads to resemble tidy rows of lettuces, cauliflower, peas, beans and squashes. An ornately bezeled 39ss chaton stone forms a button to pull through a fastening loop for secure closure.

Worked in another colorway, the embellishments might well evoke flowers growing in a greenhouse, awaiting transplantation in Spring. Choose your own palette and create your own vision for a beadwoven garden!

This is an Advanced Beginner/Intermediate level project. Familiarity with Right Angle Weave is helpful, but a primer in the stitch is included as an Appendix, for your reference.
