The lovely Toile de Joy fabric in this stocking is a classic design that originated in the 18th century. It is called Les Quatre Saisons (The Four Seasons). This particular fabric is a reproduction dating to the early 1900s and was upcycled from an antique curtain panel. I used the toile on both sides of the stocking. There are some faint marks on both sides (see closeup photos), which I do not consider flaws but simply part of the antique character of the fabric. The foldover cuff is a sweet red and cream plaid vintage French ticking fabric. The full lining is a new cotton fabric with a beige background and little red flower designs, and the hanging loop is natural cotton twill ribbon. The stocking is a traditional size, measuring 20 inches vertically from the top to the toe (not including the hanging loop), when it is hanging as shown in the photos.

I used multiple layers of three different tailor's interlinings in the body, cuff and lining, to give the stocking structure and a professional designer finish. All seams triple stitched or serged, so the stocking is durably constructed.

The shipping weight for the stocking is two pounds. Since Etsy does not have a shipping calculator, shipping cost is given for the farthest U.S. destination. In many cases, the cost will be less, and I will refund the difference through Paypal immediately following shipment.
