Vintage Pair of Haeger Tulip Shape Egg Cups in Yellow & Pale Green Circa 1970's. What a great way to start the am when you need your protein!

The Haeger Pottery Company was founded in 1871 in Dundee, Illinois by Henry David Haeger. It started as a backyard and it was reportedly Haeger brick that rebuilt Chicago after The Great Fire of 1871. Haeger is still in operation today and continues to produce works of art for home and office decor.

These egg cups measure 4 3/4" high and 2 1/4" wide at the top space to place your egg. the diameter of the bottom measures also measures 2 1/4". The shape of both is identical, but different colors, pale yellow and pale green to help identify whose egg it is. There are no cracks or chips on these cups. The green cup has a tiny spot on the inside where the glaze didn't stick in the firring process, this does not detract from the sweetness of these pieces. These would be the perfect house warming gift for the vintage lover.

Aunt Violet of Downton Abbey asked Carson next time she spends the night she wants her morning egg served in one of these cups on her tray. Carson smiled and responded, "Yes My Lady"

Season 3 starts on January 3,2013 can't wait, but in the meantime, eat your am protein in Style!
