Wooden spoon for stirring with tasting spoon carved onto the handle made from Cherry wood. Free shipping till the end of on this item for orders to the U.S. and Canada. Everyone else will get reduced shipping. This one is 16 inches long with a 2 3/4 inch wide bowl for stirring and a 1 3/8 inch wide tasting spoon carved on the end of the handle. Handy for when you want to give your sweetheart a taste of what you are making them without getting their cooties in the food. I made the first one 3 years ago and it quickly became very popular to the point that I was making little else for a while. I love mine and you will love this one. Finished with beeswax and mineral oil. Go ahead. You know you want it!

This utensil is "pre-washed" so to speak. During the final sanding the grain is raised twice with hot water and then the loose fiber ends are sanded off with a finer grit of sandpaper so that in use the spoon will not get rough. Then it is soaked in a bath of melted beeswax and mineral oil at 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water and towel dry. Apply some mineral oil or Walnut oil every couple of weeks. Better yet is a mixture of 3 parts mineral oil to one beeswax. Melt them together in a double boiler and pour into a small jar. We usually sell 4 ounce jars but we are out right now. We should have some more soon.
