Blue and tan leaf motif double cuff beads separated by wire and glass beads.

Length: 1 3/4 inches

What is a double cuff bead? Well, aside from being unique, it is a rectangular shape 3/4 inches long and about 1/4 inch thick. They have two openings for stringing so for a necklace you can string through one or for a bracelet use both for a more substantial look!

About my paper beads:
I use a variety of paper, glossy magazine paper, wrapping paper, colored paper, white or colored paper that I have painted, parchment paper, linen paper, cotton paper, craft paper and scrapbook paper. Most of what I use is new, but I will recycle paper depending on the project. I start by painting the paper if I'm going to for that design. The paper is then cut to the shape and size desired for the bead. I hand roll each bead onto a plastic tube. This gives the bead uniformity and insures that when it is sealed, the inside is also protected from rubbing on the thread, cord or monofilament. Beads that are smaller than 1/4 inch wide do not have the plastic tube center. After the glue is completely dry, each bead is individually sealed using a very thick glaze, making the bead water resistant. While they are very water resistant, they are not water proof, so they will not wear well in extended periods of time in the water.
