100% cotton pin wale corduroy. 40" width. Sold by the yard. All we have left is in this listing.
Color is important to you, so I will describe it the best way I can and this may get wordy: It reminds me most of a baked pumpkin pie. It also reminds me of primitive clay beads... or a terracotta flower pot soaked with rain. (Yes, okay, we're getting a bit poetic here.) This fabric is not quite orange, red or brown, even though I used such words for search purposes. If you have a pack of crayons, take a look at bittersweet and burnt orange. Those are pretty close, although it is not exactly like either one. And in fact, the photography distorted the colors of these crayons, in my opinion. Very autumnal looking, if you are looking for something for fall or Thanksgiving.

Now let's talk about hand, because that's important, too. Wale refers to the number of ridges per inch. This one seems to be 16 wales per inch, or pinwale. This corduroy feels heavier than most cottons but lighter than most corduroys. Large waled corduroys are generally too stiff and bulky for making a dress. But this one has such a nice drape, you actually could make a dress or jumper from it. Nice and soft. Suitable for soft pillows. The seams would behave well because of the weight. I had contemplated making tablecloths out of it.

Stored with care, away from sunlight, smoke or pets.
We do not have any more yardage of this corduroy.
