marvelous Maritime masons!

Graduated duo of antique ATLAS Mason jars with matching pair of silver zinc lids!

These SQUARE Atlas mason jars are ANYTHING but!

H I S T O R Y

An innovative update from round jars, when they were introduced in the 1920s. Square jars made the chore of food preservation much more efficient. Homemakers could stack these square jars in the pantry, saving space so that Depression-era families could enjoy more delicious preserves, during icy winter months.

What makes them even more AWESOME: they are super sturdy! Their design makes them perfect for use around the kitchen.

Each glass jar is flawless, and will arrive to you complete with a gorgeous, rust-free zinc screw-on lid.
Both caps are stamped with "ATLAS" on top and lined with gleaming white milkglass inserts.
The white glass liners are embossed in raised capitalized letters:

"GENUINE BOYD'S CAP FOR MASON JAR"

in the center of the round liner there is a printed "A" nestled beneath a "H", representing the acquisition of the Atlas Glass Company, by Hazel Glass & Metals Co. in 1902.

the larger jar is quart sized; embossed in raised lettering with a gigantic H over A symbol between the words "ATLAS MASON "

the small pint-sized jar has a huge Anchor and capital Letter H, above the word "MASON".

these make such lovely accents for any welcoming celebration, and are wonderful conversation starters.

so photogenic! use these containers for storing coffee, grains and other dry goods in the pantry, and for creatively organizing vanity accessories (q-tips, cotton balls, etc.)

incredibly versatile: repurpose them to shelter childhood seashell collections, dog treats, arts and crafts supplies, or objects that risk causing clutter in your home!

**these jars are from my own carefully curated collection and are truly gorgeous heirlooms from American history. Repurpose these practical and Earth-friendly jars to create an organized living space that feels like home.
