Advertisement for Marlboro Shirt Co., Baltimore, featuring Ronald Reagan. This is part of an actual page cut out from a vintage 1949 issue of LIFE Magazine that was too damaged and worn to be sold intact.

Size: Ad is approximately 13-7/8 x 5-1/2 inches.

Condition: Noticeable average wear, with light creases and tiny rips at edges. Moderate age-tanning. Thin magazine paper with the expected minor show-through. The reverse is an ad for Pullman Sleeper.

Black-and-white photo illustrations of then-actor Ronald Reagan show him wearing Marlboro Shirts with 2 different collar styles. Text notes that Reagan was currently starring in the Warner Bros. movie "John Loves Mary," also starring Patricia Neal in her film debut.

Reagan, of course, went on to become Governor of California (1967-75) and then the 40th President of the United States (1981-89).

Great retro ad, suitable for framing. The narrow format makes it useful for hanging in small, tight spaces.
