A Brief History:
Born the son of a Polish senator. Was badly abused by his brother Paul. Became ill while staying in the home of a Lutheran and was refused a call for a priest. He prayed to Saint Barbara who was his patron saint. She appeared in a vision, along with 2 angels, and administered Communion to him. Our lady cured him and told him to become a Jesuit. He entered a Jesuit college at age 14. He became a Jesuit novice in Oct. of 1567, then died in Aug. of 1568. He was a friend of St. Peter Canisius and a student of St. Francis Borgia.
