Now here's a dress guaranteed to turn heads! This fantastic early 1960s cocktail dress - would you believe it? - is homemade! Yes, it is completely one of a kind, there will never be another. The material feels for all the world like silk on the exterior, but the interior shows that it is a blend - a fiber test was inconclusive. The exterior has a ribbed texture and soft luster. It is sleeveless, with deep, alluring neckline. The skirt features a fantastic front drape created with pleating - this was NOT a beginner sewing project. The drape is topped with a bow. the dress closes on the side with a complicated series of hook, eyes and snaps, and a short metal zipper to the waist. I really love the warm autumn hues in this water color floral. It's a showstopper with subtlety. That's a rare combination!

✂-----Measurements

Bust: 38"
Waist: 27"
Hips: 40"
Length: 43"

Condition: Very Good minus

This dress has been professionally dry cleaned and pressed and is ready to wear. There is a small area of surface fray to the material at the edge of each underarm. This is very minor under the right arm. It has been repaired from going further under the left arm. There is small snag on the side of the zipper placket. While examining the dress from the exterior, I found a small pin hole in the skirt, just to the side of the draping - no one will ever notice. I find no other issues to note. This dress wears beautifully - the flaws are minor, and conveniently placed so as not to detract the overall glow!
