I stumbled upon a collection of teeny tinny glass bottles and fell in love. This is one of five necklaces in my bottle and bobbles collection. When masterminding the design of this particular bottle I was inspired by the various metallic colors found in antique door knobs.

*******UpCycled Jewelry*******
Pieces in this necklace are constructed from repurposed jewelry. The repurposed jewelry is deconstructed, cleaned, and re-crafted to create a new look out of an old story.

This slender glass bottle has been stuffed with slender metallic colored tubular beads. I was attracted to these particular beads because they spoke to the various colors found in antique doors and mimicked the color change that occurs to these metals after years of use. Sprinkled amongst the cooper, sliver, gold, and brass beads are two fresh water pearls, noting to ceramic antique door knobs. The addition of these freshwater pearls also provide a nice contrast in shape and color, drawing spectators attention to the slight differences between the various tubular beads and other intricate design details.

The top of the bottle features a gold toned metal flower that has been hand molded over the top of the cork, which also features a hand crafted circular hook. A waterfall of different brass and gold chains and a loose circular metal bead adorns the top of the bottle, adding life and movement to this necklace's design.

A thin, delicate, and vibrantly colored copper chain is attached to the corked hook. This particular chain construction and color was selected because it marries well with the design of the bottle and is eye catching. A antique inspired door latch hook claps allows you to easily hook in and out of this necklace.
